Nathan Eugene Carson and Smokestack’s Master Printmaker, Laine Groeneweg, collaboratively created an extended series of monotypes during Nathan’s time as a printmaker-in-residence with Smokestack’s Analog Print Residency. An emphasis on experimentation and play became the defining features of their collaborative production of prints that translate the expressive gestures, bold forms, and larger interest in portraiture thread through Nathan’s multi-media practice.
