Meaghan Hyckie

Meaghan Hyckie – Parcel #10, 2022

Meaghan Hyckie fosters an interdisciplinary artistic practice with a strong focus on drawing, and in recent years, developed integration of various analog printmaking methodologies. Colour investigations structured by simplified architectural iconography and patterning has become a defining characteristic of her visual vocabulary. Meaghan’s dedication to media experimentation drives her ongoing commitment to seek out new ways through which her imagery may be best expressed.

Initializing her professional printmaking practice in silkscreen, Meaghan recently delved into intensive investigation of intaglio printmaking processes during her experience as a printmaker-in-residence amongst the 2022 cohort of Smokestack’s Analog Print Residency participants.

Meaghan Hyckie (b. 1983, Toronto) is represented by Olga Korper Gallery, Toronto, and has exhibited work with Macaulay & Co. Fine Art, Vancouver; Galerie Nicolas Robert, Montreal; Museum London; the Art Gallery of Windsor and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Hyckie has received numerous grants in support of her practice from the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation.
