On the occasion of her solo-exhibition, Trail Blaze: Coming Home at Smokestack Gallery, we printed a brand-new special edition exhibition print with Liss Platt in the Smokestack Analog Studio With creation of Hot Oven Grinders, Liss extended her interest in matchbooks towards design of her own matchbook graphic based on fond memories of a cherished culinary pastime.
As this unique graphic was translated into a larger pattern of this 7-layer silkscreen print, her explorations of the form also resulted in production and assembly of life-sized matchbooks too captivating to resist collection of themselves!
