Lauchie Reid

Lauchie Reid is a fine-art painter, illustrator, printmaker, and educator based in Toronto, ON. Focused primarily on portraiture, landscape and still life, his interest in history and outmoded methods of image-making grounds his pseudo-historical approach to media and subject. Through juxtaposition of traditional techniques and aesthetics with contemporary technology and humour, he aspires to encourage renewed interest and connection with presently unfashionable conventions. As an independent professional artist and a founding member of art/illustrative collective Team Macho, his work spans multiple generations and media and is held in private collections across North America.
