Created for presentation with Mia Sandhu’s Day of Night exhibition, Brood, represents an expansion of the printmaking disciplines that Mia investigated during her 2023 Smokestack Analog Printmaking Residency. This variable copperplate etching exemplifies Mia’s commitment to experimentation with figures and patterning, while introducing integration of unique, hand-painted elements (watercolour) in compliment to the etching process.
