Kristiina Lahde and Adam David Brown produced a new series of work titled “Under the Influence” as 2022 Smokestack Analog Print Residency co-participants. Representing their first professional collaborative endeavour, Lahde and Brown used their own fingerprints as the foundation of imagery investigations that centred around the notion of touch. Working with Smokestack’s analog printmaker, Laine Groeneweg, their experimentations with the layering, scale and patterning of their fingerprints created rhythmic networks and cross-hatched connections.
