Kadri Toom arrived in Hamilton in the fall of 2025 as the Nordic Artist Exchange Resident at the Cotton Factory. With a focus on architecture, Toom explored the local urban environment, capturing neoclassical buildings and new developments with her camera on foot. An expressed interest in working with Smokestack Studios during her residency culminated in creation of new collaborative, silkscreen print with Laine Groeneweg in the Analog Studio. Haunted Hamilton reassembles segments of her architectural, visual records and experiences in a newly built construction of her own imaginings.
Kadri Toom graduated from the department of painting at Tartu Art College, Estonia and holds an MFA in printmaking from the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her works have been exhibited across Europe in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Czech Republic.
