Isabel Okoro’s Now you arrive, reach inwards, is a special exhibition edition created in complement to her 2026 print series, Fond Traces of Fluid Landscapes. Her collaborative work with Laine Groeneweg in Smokestack’s Analog Studio to create the piece represented her first experience with CYMK silkscreen printmaking. In her own words:

“This image is of a close friend of mine and was made in Chapultepec Park, Mexico City. During a residency I had there in 2023, I spent a lot of time walking through this park and was fascinated at its size…With the image, I was thinking a lot about how many people pass by everyday and never interact with one another, so people moving through are kind of like ghosts in the sense that nobody truly knows they were there. Since I was doing a CMYK print, I wanted an image that felt full of life and colour. I love the varying shades of green the different trees have, and the bit of blue that peeks out. And I loved the softness of Mylar.”
