Smokestack Digital is focused on fine art print, image retouching/manipulation, artwork reproduction, and other related imaging services. We’re dedicated to helping artists and creators achieve their final vision. We love details and will see to those details throughout the production process. Each step is important – from conception of an idea through to final output. While our production studio is located in Hamilton, we also have a convenient downtown Toronto location for client consultation, file delivery, print proofing and pickup.

Our digital fine art print services are performed between the Epson SureColor P20000 (64″) and Epson Stylus Pro 11880 (64″) which represent the leading edge of fine art digital output, producing stunning museum quality archival prints on a wide range of digital, traditional, and experimental media up to 64” wide on the short side, and as long as your creativity can run.

The 64” Epson SureColor P20000 is designed for high-production photographic and fine art printing, and includes an all-new high-performance 2.6” wide Epson PrecisionCore® MicroTFP® print head. Along with an all-new Epson UltraChrome PRO ten-color pigmented ink set – including four levels of gray – the all-new SureColor P20000 is the ultimate production tool for the demanding requirements of high-production colour and black-and-white fine art printmaking.

The 64″ Epson Stylus Pro 11880 utilizes the Epson UltraChrome K3® ink set including eight colours and three black levels. The MicroPiezo TFP print head supports a maximum resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi, and is capable of handling virtually any media type, in roll or cut-sheet, up to 64 inches wide.

  • Negative Scanning

    Experience working with analog negatives for digital output like never before with the revolutionary new PhaseOne Scanning Stage. This ground breaking technology is the next generation of film scanning technology with vasty superior results and productivity compared to existing flatbed, Imacon, or Drum systems. We are equipped to handle negatives in all formats up to 8" x 10" with a maximum optical resolution of 10000ppi.

  • Copy and Reproduction Services

    Turn your original one of a kind works of art into fine art reproductions through a combination of high resolution digital captures, digital colour reproduction, and colour matched fine art printing. We also offer portfolio reproduction services for artists looking to have their originals digitized. Our reproductions are produced using the 150mp PhaseOne IQ4 Trichromatic Camera, PhotonDT XL lighting system, and Golden Thread Colour targets to produce the most detailed and accurate reproductions available.
